Usually lasting between 2- 4 weeks, reducing multiple sticks, reducing the risk for a bloodstream infection compared to a PICC line, and provides patients with a higher level of comfort and mobility.
ULTRASOUND-GUIDED PIV
Ultrasound-guided peripheral IV placement is designed to deliver precise IV catheter placement and to reduce complications and patient discomfort. A high-skill and gold standard technique that is designed to prolong catheter dwell time and reduce multiple venipuncture attempts for all, but especially difficult stick patients.
